When they finally left you alone, you drove down to the bridge, pulled off to the shoulder, got out, and stared down into the water. And everyone was laughing so far away. But you couldn't hear them, no, not really. Not really anyway. And the cars went by, their engines screaming. Just like you were screaming, standing there on the bridge, staring down into the water. And you were free. As free as you've ever been. With the sun to your back and the water below you.
